On Thursday 10th August at a function at Legacy House, a cheque for $2,239.55 was handed to Sydney Legacy on behalf of the residents of Breakfast Point.
This sum was raised on Anzac Day at the Dawn Service and later the Club luncheon where attendees made donations into Sydney Legacy fundraising buckets being circulated by members of the Breakfast Point Mens Shed. The buckets were also located at the BBQ being manned by members of the Rotary Club of Breakfast Point who provided the free bacon and egg roll breakfast.
We are grateful to the Rotarians and Mens Shed for their early start to have everything prepared for the Dawn Service.
Legacy provides support for the families of service personnel who have lost their life or their health in the service of our country.
We have raised funds for them on the last 5 Anzac Days and as acknowledgement, Legacy presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Breakfast Point community.
Presentation of the Certificate of Appreciation:
